Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland Sparkle

We have lots of pictures to show you today.  Deb created a “sparkly” Christmas card using the beautiful sheets from Winter Wonderland and a JustRite stamp set.  I had made a series of cards from this collection a month or so ago, so I figured this would be a good time to pull out my scraps and unused stickers and make up some tags.  So I have my simple little project to show you, too.  I altered a small gift bag, made a gift card holder, two tags and two little mini note tags.  I challenged myself to use up scrap pieces for everything, and I did.  Feels so good to do that.  Let’s start with Deb’s card:

Can you see all the sparkles!  It’s soooooo lovely!!! And with the PERFECT sentiment!

You can see Deb’s post on her blog here.

This is the group of items I made, using up scrap pieces and stickers from the Winter Wonderland Collection.

The cardstock used is SU Very Vanilla and I edged them with the Zig Painty Pen in Gold.

This is my standard gift card holder, but it’s a bit smaller as I used a scrap piece of cardstock.

I used a round sticker and backed it with 2 layers cut with my Circle Nesties.

Here’s the inside.  I use Velcro Dots as my closure.  I typically use the round ones. And if you notice there is a square on the bottom and a round on the top — LOL — well, let’s just say it was one of those rare “blonde” moments!  If you do use the square, they are a bit too large and too strong, so cutting them in 1/2 works best.

This is a purchased bag that I altered.  There was a gold ornament on the bag.  I just thought it would “POP” more with the star, and it surely did!  Also, the handles were replaced with new ones I made from 1/2″ Sheer with Satin Band in Antique Gold.  The handles that came on the bag were black, terribly wrinkled and didn’t stay in the holes.

These two tags were from scrap pieces of SU Very Vanilla, each 3″ wide and varying heights.  I just used a straight edge, pencil and scissors to cut my angles.  Nothing fancy here.  Then I edged them with the Gold Painty Pen and applied my stickers.  These stickers incorporate both silver and gold, so you can go either way.  Also, the off-white color in this collection is such that you really can go either white or ivory as well.

The ribbon is a gold 1.5 Sheer with Gold Band.  I just ran it through the holes and tied it with Paper Cord.  This Paper Cord is 2 ply and once tied I then untwisted the 2 cords.  Kind of a fun look that is quick and easy.

I also like to make these little mini cards to use as gift tags as well.  The one is 2.5 x 3.5″ and the other is 3.5″ square.

I just edged the edges of my mat layer in gold, elevated with 3D Foam Squares and applied my sticker — can’t get much easier!

So that was my easy-peasy contribution for today!

I will say, we are very low in stock on this collection, Winter Wonderland,  and it is no longer available, so when it’s gone, it’s gone.

However, one could take these ideas and use ANY of the Anna Griffin Christmas Collections with similar results.
